Private to Lucius, Cissy and My Nephew

WHAT IS GOING ON?

I am away from this silly book and that ridiculous paper for a few weeks and come back to this?

A blood traitor? And DRACO? You must tell me this is not true.

How is it possible that such a thing can even be speculated upon?

Lucius - if you have a discipline issue, you have but to say the word. You know I would be willing to lend my sister's husband my best toys.

[private to Lucius' eyes only]If you are squeemish, you may leave him with me for a short while.

I will not damage his capacity to carry on your lineage.

Unless you want me to. Eliminating this one and starting afresh might be the best way to ensure a properly obedient Heir. I did tell you, all along, that you ought to have a back-up plan. Look at what happened to poor, dear Aunt Walburga's hope for the future.

I would be very merciful. He is my nephew, after all. His pain wounds me.

I appeal to your logic here. Narcissa is far too emotional where the boy is concerned. You have but to say the word. Or not. Auntie Bellatrix might have to take matters into her own hands. We cannot have blood-traitor brats contaminating our line.[/end private to Lucius only]

Cissy - What is going on? Why is your son running amok? Why are you permitting it? Is this your idea of proper behaviour for our hope for the future? I know you are fond of the boy, but he is not a child anymore. You must get him under control, and soon, before the family is ruined.

Draco - dearest Draco - I beg you to tell me it is all lies!

You have been spending far too much time with the halfblood traitor and his filthy beasts. I suppose this is where you became entangled with the blood-traitor slut.

Do not taint yourself by association, Draco. You are a Prince among Wizards. The blood of the Malfoys and the Blacks mingles like rivers of gold in your veins. Do not shame the family.

It is not remotely too late for you to be disowned!

Of course it is lies! Do you really think I am that foolish? So nice to know what you truly think of me, Auntie.

I am not involved with...that thing. I assure you.

As for any involvement with any of the others mentioned, I assure you, that things are changing.

Do you really want me to answer that? Would I have posed the question if I were confident in the stability of your character?

What do you expect I would think of you? You, who chose to live with a halfblood traitor and his mangy pet werewolves over your own family at the close of the war! You call the blood traitor slut a 'thing' while you continue to associate with a man who fucks werewolves.

Your words will only be reassuring to me when I see your actions supporting the assertions.

Bellatrix,

Your concern for my son is touching. But whilst he remains my son, and since you are neither a member of my household, nor a Malfoy, I must retain my conviction that matters of discipline are the concern of my wife and I.

Lucius,

Of course. I am only offering suggestions, after all. He is your son, and your legacy to the world. When we are gone, it is he who shall define what your name means to the world. It is his actions that shall state where Malfoy belongs.

Bellatrix,

And you think that if he were a blood-traitor, and we pained him now, he would adhere to this suffering after our deaths? Any child of yours should have been in constant pain for lessons unlearned, Bella.

Lucius

P.S
I am as squeemish as you are kind hearted. I am insulted that you do not remember this. Age comes to us all, I suppose.

I think you should be wary of his behaviour as it reflects on both our families. You cannot tell me that you wish for him to be involved with a Weasley. Surely, Lucius, you taught him more discernment than that. And now, we have also lost him to Registry tracking.

Hardly behaviour to be proud of.

Bellatrix.

P.S. you are obviously more squeamish than I considering how lax your discipline is.

Draco is not involved with a fucking Weasley.

It is merely gossip.

I don't think anyone who has possessed the surname Black is in a position to discuss family behaviour.

Lucius

P.S Perhaps it is that I don't find it so pleasurable. one of the many reasons I felt sympathy for your late husband

Lucius,

Well, that is at least a blessing.

Oh? I think I shall have to tell my darling sister what you think of her.

Bellatrix,

Whilst most families have a black sheep, yours has a white.

I'm sure Narcissa will find the information most illuminating, after more than 25 years of marriage.

Lucius.
